CCRep is an organisation with international credentials
Since its inception in 2001 CCRep has worked hard to established itself as a world standard research organisation. Well placed, both in physical location and in terms of its access to a large pool of research participants, CCRep is often seen as a front runner to take part in international trials. Today, through contact with other research organisations and exposure at symposiums CCRep is a name that is earning international respect.
Because of CCRep’s credentials, not only will the work undertaken be of international quality, it will often be regarded as being at the forefront of research in New Zealand. Working at CCRep you will have opportunities to attend international symposia either to present information or to learn from others. The planning and implementation of a clinical trial protocol is the responsibility of the research nurse, the Principal Investigator and the other study team members.
Research Co-ordinators generally have qualifications in areas other than nursing which enable them to assist in the planning and implementation of a clinical trial. Not all our trials involve medication administration.
Research Nurses and Co-ordinators are responsible for ensuring successful completion of the study in accordance with regulatory guidelines. They work closely with the CCRep management team, research physicians, pharmacists, laboratory personnel, pharmaceutical company monitors and other research nurses. A key function for each role is to recruit suitable participants to clinical trials and performing clinical assessments as per the protocol.
