Freemasons Continue Support for Tissue Bank
CCRep is pleased to announce that and the Freemasons Roskill Foundation has provided a further grant of $457,000 over 3 years to support the Middlemore Tissue Bank. The funding will allow the Tissue Bank to become fully functional so that by 2014 it will be supporting new translational cancer research projects. Sir Bruce Slane (Middlemore Tissue Bank, Chair) said, "this grant demonstrates the confidence that the Freemasons have in CCRep to build a world-class tissue repository." The Freemasons Roskill Foundation is the founding sponsor of the Middlemroe Tissue Bank.

CCRep - 10 Years On and Thriving
March 2012 marks the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Centre for Clinical Research and effective practice (or 'CCRep'). Created to support researchers based at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland it now works with over 60 investigators and has projects underway in fields as diverse as bariatric surgery and deer velvet.
Dr Stuart Ryan (CCRep General Manager) said, "We are proud to have reached this significant milestone. Our success can be put down to the expertise and dedication of our team and the support we have received from the local research community."
