CCRep Young Investigator Award for Excellence 2010
Dr Gillian BalbirSingh has won the title of CCRep's Young Investigator of the Year for her presentation entitled "Stability of Antibiotics in Peritoneal Dialysis Solutions" presented at the 2010 CMDHB Science Fest. Dr Stuart Ryan, CCRep General Manager said that Dr BalbirSingh's work demonstrated that a well thought out question, sound methodology and having an excellent team were the keys to prodcuing excellent science.

Counties Manukau DHB supports new Tissue Bank
CCRep is please to announce that Counties Manukau DHB is supporting the creation of the Middlemore Tissue Bank (MTB) by granting $157,000 for pay for the fit-out of the MTB facility. "We are pleased to support this worthwhile endeavour" said Mr Ron Dunham, CMDHB's Chief Operating Officer. The new state-of-the-art facility will be located in the basement of the new Edmund Hilary Block at Middlemore Hopital. The planned completion date of the facility is September 6, 2010.
